Whats Going On

DAY ONE OF RECORDING

I am tired. But it’s a good kind of tired. The kind of tired where I know I pushed myself hard and still felt happy with the results.

That’s when I know the music is good… read more…

COME HELL OR HIGH…SNOW?

I hate winter. Always did, always will. Ever since I was a kid, hated the feeling of cold weather against my skin. Hate the snow, except when it falls, then I admit it’s pretty and picturesque.

But snow better not ruin my plans for recording!

Snow is supposed to come tonight and last til the morning but may not be a lot. I do feel like at times, when I plan for something like recording, the weather gets in the way. This album will be recorded come hell or high…

Snow?

NO MATTER WHAT…

SEE AND BE SEEN

This past Monday, I made a short little clip of myself just shredding. It wasn’t anything technically amazing but I felt inspired. I used my brain finally and filmed it. Did a few takes and the end result was the video I posted on my various social media pages and this website. Got some nice hits and prompted some of you to ask if I will make more videos.

Think it’s time I jumped on the bandwagon? After all, it’s good to see what people like and be seen too.

Made another small video tonight doing something different: slap licks on 7-string. Granted, I’m definitely not the first person to do this but I always loved the sound of slap bass so why not give it a whirl? The low B on my Universe really helps with the low-end. TM Stevens and Mark King won’t lose sleep over me, that’s for sure. But it’s purely for fun and something to make a few of you go “HUH?”

Check it out…if you dare 😉

MORE EXCITED FOR THIS THAN XMAS…

Today is February 1st. Big deal, right? For me, it is.

I am counting the days to recording my new album, which will be in 17 days.

Geeky? I’m more excited for this than waiting for Xmas!

FOCUS!

Needless to say, I am not basking in the California sun and pretending to be a famous guitar god at Winter NAMM. I could write a long diatribe as to why I am not there but let’s just say that I will be trying for Summer NAMM in Nashville this June. By hook or by crook, I will get to another show.

Anyway…
