Well, for those of you who wondered why The Police had an album called GHOST IN THE MACHINE,┬álast night’s attempt at trying to start mixing the new album will bring that to light.

Oh and the album will be released on December 15, 2015. Read more

46 AND LEARNING NEW TRICKS

Deja Vibe! Updated board w/Fulltone DejaVibe!

The rumour is true: I am officially a 46-year-old metalhead as of this past Monday, November 2nd. I share a birthday with Keith Emerson, Carter Beauford, Bobby Dall, and Fieldy (he and I also share the same year we were born too).

Where’s my walker?

NO SLEEP TIL THE LAST SOLO IS DONE

People of Earth, I bring forth amazing news…

THE NEW ALBUM IS DONE!!

Finished up the melodies for the remaining three songs, and then blazed through all nine guitar solos. Well, almost…one solo was a bitch. More on that later. Read more

AFTER ALL THIS TIME

When I was a lot younger (I’ll be 46 on Monday), I would read articles by various bands who were many years deep into their career, making records and touring. BETTER CROWD AND MORE RECORDING SOON

This past Friday, Mary’s Basement played at one of our “famous” spots, Allendale Bar & Grill. Even though the supposed hurricane made the room look empty, it filled up rather quickly and things were moving from there. The set list was re-arranged to be less “artsy” and it was a smart move, as the crowd were dancing up a storm (no pun intended). Definitely a far cry from when we played the week before at the hockey fundraiser…I was waiting for a funeral to break out that night.

Not every gig is a hit out of the park…or a puck in the goal? Work with me here!

KEEP PUSHIN’

I hope to go back into the studio to lay down the bass tracks for my new album soon. Last time I was there, I started feeling fatigued too quickly. I’m no spring chicken anymore, not able to bang out a full album in a day like I used to. While I agree that art simply cannot and should not be rushed, I am so antsy to get this new album out for various reasons.

I keep pushin’ through, no matter what it takes.
